This is pretty much exactly what it seems, a bit of silliness to occupy us while the email list was down with technical difficulties. Jim Nutley dropped out for personal reasons as we went on, which is why Part 8 which he was supposed to write is missing. The third author, Numbski, did another QftSS on his own some years later, but it didn't grab me all that much.
